(Advanced Reading Copy)Of his soon to be released Requiem for an Assassin. Barry Eisler is about the coolest writer i have ever had the pleasure of talking to. This new book is damn good so far too. Any other Eisler fans out there?

I wouldn't say his books are high literature, but he tells a great story and incorporates themes that many people on this forum (including myself) enjoy. I've read all his books and will read the next one when it comes out.

i find this one to be among the better of the series. And Eisler is just a really good guy. I was really surprised by the down to earthiness of him.

Eisler and Rain's trip to Gracie Barra contributed to me getting back into MMA. Good stuff.

I read the first few books. Frankly, I wasn't that impressed but they're good airport books.

Interesting Gator, thanks for the info. His books are enjoyable but I wouldn't place them in the category of high literature. It's not like he has written the great american novel yet.

It's the same-old-same-old...how many books are there where the hero is a bad-ass ex-Spec-ops guy who got burned in Vietnam? Jeez. The only "twist" is that the hero is Japanese-American. Wow...what a great twist...if he really did say that young writers have it too easy nowadays...Jesus, STFU, bitch - aren't his fucking books optioned by Hollywood? Jesus, if that's not having it "easy", I hate to what "easy" really is.
