"EVO RS, thats why I bought one. 25.5K + 3K mods = 28K/330whp" yep, those EVOs are sleepers. they don't look like they'd be all that fast but they fly. nowadays there's a lot of sleepers out there. Even some trucks and family sedans are putting up 0-60 times in the low 5s.

So Mad Tiger, are you going to throw in a TRD blower and get the 0-60 time in 5 seconds? I read that the TRD blowers actually improve gas mileage, as long as you aren't smoking the tires all the time.

I miss my GN a ton. Never should have sold that car. I could put about 4 lengths on my friend's cammed 03 Z06 out of the hole. He would usually drive around me at about 100.

That was an amazing motor that GM made in like 1986. To push such a heavy, unaerodynamic car so fast was amazing. Unfortunately they killed it along with the electric car. I heard a long time ago there was talk about putting that engine in a Fiero, too bad it never happened. Also that AWD Cyclone drive train would have been cool in a small sedan. Was that V6 reliable?

The motor itself was very reliable. People routinely get 100k+ miles out of them before even changing valvesprings. It's actually a very unspectacular motor... The heads flow like shit, the stock cam is too timid, etc. The turbo is what made up for a really average package to begin with. Now the problem comes when you're dealing with a 20 year old car and all of the other shit that happens to go wrong. Mine spent far more time in the garage waiting for parts than put together ready to drive. But I still haven't owned another car that turned heads like that one... Syclones and Typhoons were a whole different animal. They were designed pretty well from the factory as-is. Because of that, they didn't respond too well to upgrades without some necessary beefing up of the internals, the main weak link being the pistons and connecting rods.
