why super inflate the retail price just so you can play this little bullshit games with the customer knowing majority of the buyers doesn't buy cars that often? because no matter what I come back at for my initial offer to the customer they will always beat me up over price. I could start at $5k under loan and they will want more

I take the car out for a test drive, I drive to the salesman's home, give his wife/gf teh buttsex while I fim it on my cell phone.  Then when I get back, I play it for them.  The price does get significantly better.

Exactly...hang in there with the grinders and the people that dont care and will love you all the more when you crush them and make the $5k+ deals when you can and take the $100 mini's when you have to.

my family gets a discount from ford. the a-plan. a-plan is getting the car at cost from ford. the dealer makes jack shit and the sales people get, from what they told me, maybe 300 bux. so my dad and i always like to string the guy or girl along for a while ad try to weasel them down on the price. then after a while we would say "oh we get the a-plan pricing does that matter?" the look on their face was priceless. or just tell them the crazy shit you wanna do in the car. like "damn this back seat is huge ! i could domy girlfriend and her brother in here!" shit like that.

I haven't read everything yet so if someones mentioned this already, I apologize.

Go there knowing your credit score and don't let them run your credit. If you're going with a new vehicle it'd be hard get your own financing that'd beat the dealerships as they often run a 0% or 2.9% or so interest rate but try.

right dont let them run your credit because you can get a loan without someone running your credit and your own bank doesnt have to run your credit either to get you a loan how about dont go to a dealer to do anything until you are ready to make a purchase, save everyone some time and energy

I love it when people act like they know more about the business than I do. Hello buddy you buy a car what maybe once every 2-3 years? Maybe even once a year? I sell a car an average of 2 units every 3 days for the past 6+ years...who knows more about how the business operates?

Why would you want to give a car salesman hell? Because you are just a prick? Well, I would give Satisfy a hard time, but he is the exception. Mark

I love the people that you know are just coming in to eff with you and give you a hard time and when I was younger in the business I had a hard time discerning the difference. Now the look you get and the attitude shift when you "release" someone who you know is a stroker and just there to eff with you is absolutely priceless.

Ok, I want to buy 2002-2005 Jetta what is your advice? LOL!!! Own your own Volkswagen shop so you can have it fixed cheap. I believe the 2005.5 was the new body style which are a little (and i mean a little tiny bit) bit better but 2002-2005 are absolutely horrible. Every single Jetta/Golf of that vintage I have sold has always been a nightmare car for me whether it's a 2.slow, 1.8T or a VR6 they always have problems. Same applies to people trading them in, it doesnt even seem to matter if it's a low mi car or hi "I love this car it's so much fun but I just can't keep dumping money into it, I want to trade out and get a Civic, Accord, Camry etc." My advice is dont buy one. If you are ignorant enough to purchase one then buy the longest most extensive warranty money can buy

Atecexa, I've heard similar VW stories. I wonder what happened at VW that they fell off in quality so badly, the older Golf(1st gen) was a nice car, solid as hell except for pretty consistent paint quality issues.
