Im getting a new car as a graduation gift from my parents, ive narrowed it down to a 07 Nissian Sentra or a 07 Mazda 3. Which one would guys get? Im leaning heavily towards the Mazda 3.

I was surprised to see how much the sentras have changed. I just got the new Altima, really nice. The new sentras look like the old Altimas. Not bad for the price.

^ that's correct if you can afford it. if not, i'd still get the mazda 3 over the nissan. my gf has a sand colored mazda 3 and i love driving it. it has a very nice quality look and feel with a roomy interior. she loves it too...

I was stuck between buying a nissian altima or a mazda 3. I went with the mazda, I have owned it for about 3 weeks now. I love it. Nice look and features especially for the price

Mazda 3, the 5 door hatchback, is much more fun to drive. Plus you can haul a lot more girls, beer kegs, or even useful stuff too. TOA

Get the 3. if you like driving at all get the 3 for sure. Not much can touch it in the category when it comes to handling and driveability. Test drive a Sentra and take some corners, then do the same with the 3.

I'm like Peixes in this regard. I like Nissan cars a lot, but I also respect Mazda.

My ex had on 06 Sentra. It was about the most bland car I've ever driven. I'm sure the new ones are somewhat improved but I wouldn't expect miracles.

seems like mazda 3 wins. I test drove a mazda 3 2.0 liter (I think thats what they call it), a mazda 3 2.3 liter, and a sentra. The 2.3 is way sick, I think Im going with that one.

I wouldn't buy any car made in Mexico. Just the quality that I've seen first hand with many past Sentras and VWs, steers me away from cars that are made there. I'm not sure where the 3's are made. I would also look into the Scion TC, Honda civic, and huge discounts should be available on the current corrola's during summer as the new generation will be coming in.

Honda builds several cars in Mexico. Accords and CRVs to name a few. Mark
