Guys, I am SO GLAD a lot of people are talking about this....this might be one of the best shows ever. I watched Fresh Water last night...how about that 6 foot salamander? Every segment I learn something new. I just love it.

Y1, I didnt quite finish the DVD, so freshwater is tonight. I cant wait to see it since I am big into fresh/saltwater aquaculture at home (see Natureground). That salamander sounds cool...

Just added to my blockbuster queue. Unfortunately it's a "very long wait".

I live in Indy....I don't plan on buying it. Just renting. If it's that good...then maybe.

I see. Theres a shitload of footage. I think its 8 hours or so in its entirety. For what it costs, you cant beat that deal.

I watched the Mountains disc last night, but it didn't have the Freshwater episode on it. I'm guessing the American/Discovery/Sigourney Weaver version is in a different order than the BBC version.

You can download HD clips from www.bbc.co.uk thought it might be UK only. The video of the Snow Leopard chasing the Mountain Goat is amazing.

I wanted a different narrator. The chick doing it now sounds like Juliet from LOST, which reminds me how annoyed I am with that show. That said, I FUCKING LOVE PLANET EARTH.

BEF, You are welcome. The OG is probably where I learned about the series a while back. So Fuck the OG! DHG, The BBC version(on HD-DVDs) is narrated by David Attenborough. I was not sure if I would like it before I bought it, blindly, but luckily I enjoy it much more.
