Crawfish, I saw this Aprilia bike at my uni that looks similar to Shiver (yeah that's the name) and I liked the look, but couldn't find the model, well after I went to Aprilia website, they had that on first page. By the way thanks for the help so far to all of you Got a question, do 600cc+ bikes go fast enough for highways? thanks

600cc bikes def. go fast enough for anything you need imo. Especially first bikes. I'm getting my first bike this weekend too, so keep the info coming guys. Looking for a 600 sportbike. What are the benefits/negatives when comparing the Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki and which years are best for each? Basically its between those four for me. Prolly between a '00-'06 for my price range? I'm a nub. I have up to $7700 financing avail. What's the best online site for afordable gear?

I personally don't have my mind made up at all! That's why I'd really like some last minute recommendations. Four different manufacturers and a range of ~7 yrs = ~28 bikes I need to choose from! eeek

I would say R6 - I am biased tho becase i have one Ninja- Good all around bike, most afordable CBR- Good all around bike, bad seat expept on the 07 GSXR- Good all around bike most uncomfrotable riding postiton for me out of all them Look for a 2003 or above thats when they moved to FI instead of carbourated (sp) As for gear check out newenough.com they have tons of gear with good prices

also ask your dealer if there is a new bike discount on parts/installation and gear. i got a 10% discount on a bunch of stuff when i bought my bike. being in hawaii, that brought some of the stuff i got down to about the price i would pay on the net w/ shipping.
