The last 3 are from Mesa Verde Colorado. The ones before that are from Southern Utah, near Moab.

Do you get to go into the ruins? Or do they prevent you from stepping foot in there?

There are cliff dwellings like that in Bluff, Utah as well. There is also a very well preserved site on a ranch near Green River, Utah. The site is privately owned and ranchers patrol the area on horseback. The site was only recently discovered by the archeological community, and the owner of the ranch is very protective it it. Did you hike around in the Firey Furnace at Arches at all?

Jinxter, If you're wearing the special uniform (pictured below), you can do whatever the hell you want: Actually, it's a mix. You can go into some, but not others. They have rules, like don't climb on the rocks, and shit. Billy, Good info. Thanks. We'll add those to the list of local sites to see. We did go to the furnace, but none of the pics I took made the cut for my online portfolio. I struggled to get good pics anywhere, due to shitty weather at times. Lots of overcast, which makes for real boring shots.

"Real boring shots" of Arches win photography contests in other states. I was in Washington visiting my mom, and she made me go to some arts fair her town was having. Apparently the local photography club took a trip to Arches, and pretty normal photos of The Firey Furnace and Delicate Arch won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Makes sense. I guess I'm just picky. Big rocks like that need some shadows going on.

Those are awesome pics. I would bet that Delicate Arch is the most photographed natural object, or close to it.

I bounce around between 25-35 lbs down. Closer to 25 right now. I'm afraid to weight myself after a long weekend of eating out 3x's a day, and drinking every night.

It's extremely difficult to avoid having people in the pics at places like that. Very frustrating.

Stronghold, Follow the link the gallery. Right-click on a pic, and select "show link to photo". You'll get a plethora of options. I took them on two cameras. A 10 MP and an 8 MP. Some are as big as 3648 x 2736. I think I shrunk the panos to 3000 wide.

I don't know the names of the trails off the top of my head, but I can do some research for you.  Or I could just take you. I know how to get to them.
