Is the payoff (scholarships, acceptance to 4 year universities, etc.) for joining various clubs at college (ambassadors, student entrepenuer's, etc.) worth it?

I am currently at a local junior college and am debating whether or not joining different clubs will help my chances at gaining scholarships/admittance to a 4 year university like for example University of Texas.

If I have a GPA around 3.7 or 3.8 and I got published my freshmen year will joining a couple of clubs my sophomore (and final) year at this school help increase my chances exponentially at the scholarship/university admittance in your opinion?

It can help certainly, but it won't be a major factor in allowing you to transfer to a 4-year school.

IMO no. Clubs are for networking & killing time. Use that time to get a job working for/with a prof or otherwise building that relationship to get the letter of recommendation.
