I would like to say Congrats to all the soldiers that competed in todays Fort Bragg Summer Kickoff Combatives Event. We had almost 80 competitors in a great event, with some very good Finals and 3rd place matches utilizing the Intermediate Rules. Also, thanks to MWR for hosting yet another great event. All of you Level IV and Post MACP Instructors work to develope a great relationship with MWR. We are having Combatives events every 3 months now, and even with all the deployments in the 82nd, we are still getting more and more competitors every event. Results are as follows: 140lb 1st - James Tomko 2nd - Greg Meza 3rd - Mike Hennessey 155lb 1st - Andrew Spain 2nd - James Tomko 3rd - Cordarro Harper 170lb 1st - Trey Robbins 2nd - Alex Ortiz 3rd - Ron Oxley 185lb 1st - Preston Hall 2nd - Kerry Wiles 3rd - Josh Winter 205lb 1st - Todd Rocco 2nd - Juan Ramos 3rd - Kawesi Darby 205+lb 1st - John Long 2nd - Eric Orta 3rd - Ellis Brooks Congrats again to all Competitors. Rafie, thanks man, it went very well. Hopefully we will have the Cage in and set-up for the August event to be held with advanced rules. If not, we will use the ring. JY

Jeff, Excellent work getting the troops involved. I would imagine quarterly tournaments are going to make for much better fighters. This year has seen a dramatic increase in participation from troops around the Army. BTW, how is your boy WADI doing? Dave
