check your local bamboo/rattan furniture store. they usually come skin on/unburned in various diameters and lengths. MUCH cheaper than some bogus "Martial Arts" store.

you can not go wrong with nick ''pappy dog'' papadakis's sticks. GOOD sticks, affordable sticks, and he makes them in different diameters and lengths. check out his site: www.bloodsport.com. Francisco

I agree with Sisco T. KIL sticks are the bomb. They are tough, they are a good price, and you can get them made to your own specifications. Definitely go to www.bloodsport.com C.J.

I was on www.traditionalfilipinoweapons.com and saw they have traditional rattan sticks. The sticks I am really curious about are the "Gijo" sticks which the site calls "Iron Wood". It has a natural wax finish to it to protect it from getting wet. Engraved, too. Supposedly stronger than kamagong and molave woods (but it ain't no Narra wood for sure). Problem is the gijos are flat. They look awesome, though.
