There's something somewhere around there I forgot the name of the station though. Hachioji that's it. Yukai Nakai affiliate. Where you working at? I used to live in Hamura. Going back next summer and always keeping an eye out for jobs.

I think there's something called "Ne-Waza World" close by. Forget where it's at now, but it's West Tokyo. Someone might clear this up.

Nice thanks guys. I'm in Haijima but figured Tachikawa would be more likely to have a decent gym. I work for a company called Geos for Children. Only been there a coupie of weeks but its been great so far. They sorted my visa, pay travel and got me a brand new LeoPalace apartment. Free cable and internet inc. If i can find a local gym i'll be sorted. P.S. If you come back over dont go with Nova it looks like they're going under. People not getting payed and schools starting to close and shit.

Newaza world meets sometimes in Mitaka, and sometimes at my dojo in shin-koganei. Let me know if you want more details. They meet on Wednesdays. There is also a main dojo in chofu that is the same teacher but different students. The teacher's name is Ohga-sensei. He is a black belt and quite good. He just won the black belt masters division at a tournamnet in Brazil. He is great if you like gi technique.

Paraestra Hachioji is the shit!!! Not too far from tachikawa if you take the Chuo line. Btw, I'd just like to point out that you are teaching english yet can't spell "paid". Funny stuff.

First of all noone (at least I've never met them) in asia is actually qualified to teach english. I'd get questions all the time like "What does past participle mean?" and I'd just say something like "Look, do you want to learn to speak or learn a buncha boring grammar."

Go to the website: http://www.gozo503.com/ On the side of the 1st page click on this: ???? - (Access) And you'll find a map. It is a little tricky to find the first time, the map isn't complete and doesn't include some of the smaller side roads in the area (you'll encounter this many times while you're in Japan). Definitely a good place to train and you're membership includes access to all Paraestra affiliated Gyms. I used to go to Paraestra Tokyo (Yuki Nakai and Shinya Aoki), Crosspoint in Hachioji and Shibuya Scramble. All have world class grapplers and fighters training everyday. Good luck!

Finally got down there tonight. Great little club. Some solid fighters there too. Didn't mention your name though I forgot. I'mgoing to the Gi class tomorrow though so I'll drop your name then. Got a few taps and got tapped plenty. Can't wait to get my fitness and timing back though. Its been a 5 month layoff for me.

Sweet! The cool thing about that gym is that there are more good fighters there than you realise at first. Even now I'll see fights on youtube with some of the guys from there and I'm like "wtf?!? - he fought in K-1?". Also, once you're a member there you can train at Paraestra Tokyo (Aoki, Nakai, Satoru Kitaoka etc) and Shibuya Scramble (Naoya Uematsu). Jesus is good people, even tho he thinks I look like Quentin Tarantino.

It was funny I was talking to Jesus and a buddy of his and he was talking about the photos on the wall. He was like this is is.... this is Bennet. So I jumped into the conversation. He was very complimentary about your game by the way. He just got his purple and was rightfully chuffed. Fuck I ache. Did no gi mon and gi last night. Taking tonight off.
