My 3 year old rottie has a torn ACL in both back legs. Does surgery to fix them both for $4-8K sound normal? Thanks

I don't know. Vet says they are the same as athletes, they get hurt doing cut moves like football players. He got hurt outside playing around with my other dog. Didn't see it, only heard him yipe. :-(

Well, I might be a little late, but I had an active hound that had the TPLO surgery done. It was four-five years ago, and it worked perfectly. If I remember correctly, it was around $1,700.00 bucks, for one leg. I had it done at a university's vet. hospital, and it was much cheaper than the private clinics. They pretty much told me that it is very common for both ligaments to go bad. Oh and something snake related: a hognose snake, I ran across a little while ago. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa34/sporkticus/IMG_2304.jpg
