Who has it? I know the 80-85 boxer twins had a valve problem, and heard the earliest k-bikes had injection trouble. Do any of the K-bikes have any real issues that ya'll know of?

I have an '03 K1200GT, bought it new and have about 13,000 miles on it, and haven't had a single problem. What are you looking at?

Not looking at one in particular, but I had a boxer, toured the country on it in 1994. Took a 1983 R80/7 out last weekend, the guy wants 2,600 for it. It needs a lotta work (took it back to my garage and made a list. whew). After looking around it seems used K-bikes are less expensive than R-bikes, so I might make the switch. Why did you pick a K over an R?

I wanted to be a bit more on the touring end of sport touring than the sport end.
