so after selling the honda (600rr that I loved) and a few months of loosing marbles because I hadn't rode in way too long.......The new SV650 race bike is done(for the most part)! Its an 04 with a complete gsxr 1000 front end on it as well as brakes(wave rotors) gsxr forks revalved and resprung to my weight, front wheel, tripple clamps ect. An M4 fullsystem, PCIII, A small amount of motor work and widened F3 wheel to fit the 180/55 slick from michelins*plug*Sato rearsets, yoyodyne slipper clutch. Modifed body work made with a custom subframe to fit a nice set of 07 sharkinz bodywork made for an 07" gsxr 600. A custom made penske shock. This is got to be the most fun bike to ride ever. Very controlable, the handleing and set up were incredible. I placed 7th 6th then 8th out at WSMC a few weeks ago and had the most fun I have ever had racing. Never 1 oh shit moment. Big h thanks to west coast gp cycles in LA, toyota central for the new truck every race for the team, orange county inkhouse for giving me the best tatts ever, and trackdaz for all the invites, pointers and the oppertunity to work for you the other day for tracktime. If anyone has any interest in any of my sponsors, I can hook any one up (just send me a message. Autos, tattoos, motorcycle repair and service. all in the LA area. here she is!

Nice, that bike has all the toys! I often wonder what my SV would be like with the awesome motor/chassis combo but upgraded everything else. What kind of engine work is done to it?

Very cool. I have an SV650S, but I don't race. I did do a track day at Street of Willow once though. It was a blast, once I got over my initial fear.

There are a bunch of big bore kits out there. Wow, I didn't know about that. I just found a street kit that gets it to 750cc for $990 machining included. Says it makes 85+ hp, interesting....

Lymie, I had heard that, and have thought about doing it sometime. The guy I have work on it keeps telling me to do it. We'll see.

My mechanic gets about 90hp without the big bore, with the old gen carberated motor. Im running the FI motor right now, but I already have the old gen motor and will begin building this winter. We are shooting for anything over 80hp with my motor, hopefully still keeping it reliable. Lymie, Im currently running in battle of the twins middle weight, 550 superbike, and formula twins middleweight. My second race weekend on the bike is this coming weekend. Ill post results when I get back.
