only been able to see him play in one game this year - so I can't speak for how he is scoring his goals, but he is on pace to hit about 50 if this keeps up... great reactionary trade by the bruins - what would we do with a player like boyes?

the answer to the question is Paul Kariya. You go on a line with him you'll get chances to score. Boyes didn't have a chance to play on a line with a player like kariya and his great playmaking skills. Those two are clicking well and boyes has been a pleasant surprise for an offensively challenged team in the blues who usually rely on defense to win. You pickup Kariya and your team is usually gonna turn into a winner, happened in nashville, now its happening in st. Louis.

Well i don't watch many Blues games, but I have the NHL network, and the guy just seems to be in the right places at times too. I mean he got that winner with like a minute to go against Buffalo, it was a mad scramble in front of Ryan Miller, he found the puck while miller was down and banged it home. I don't think anyone expected this much from boyes, I thought maybe 20 goals this season at best.

i figured him a perpetual 50-70 point guy - solid player, but not a star.

Lots of teams gave up on him and haven't got much in return for him. Toronto gave him away in the Nolan deal, SJ gave him away for pretty much nothing, Boston traded him for wideman I believe at the trade deadline (not saying wideman is awful or anything, but Boyes is just making more of an impact). Good to see brad has found a home in St. Louis. Glad to see boston isn't upset over the trade, cause their winning hockey games themselves, and have a pretty good young offense.

"This is gonna seem weird but... goeb is 100% right" How is that weird? Do I troll the NHL forums or something? Just curious.
