I have had a variety of shoulder, back, etc. issues and am slowly getting back into swinging a stick...anyone have any insights/experience on conditioning so as to avoid aggravating old pain.

first, stay with slowly swinging the sticks for a while...don't rush it. find a copy of "7 minute rotator cuff solution" maybe on e-bay. i have also had a lot of sucess with clubbells, but that can be expensive...but worthwhile if you can afford it. Friends have had success with elastic band work. Also suggest that you post this on the strength and conditioning forum..
