Ted Lucaylucay's very first Kali video from the early 90s. Good overview. Dan Inosanto's first video series from the 1980s.

''What are some good videos that focus on the basics of Kali?'' that's kind of hard to answer. there are many different systems of FMA and although they all have single stick, double stick, knife, stick and dagger, footwork, etc. the basics can be very different. i think guro dan's new series is good as is rick tucci's DVDs. but they really focus, of course, on inosanto lacoste kali. and again, the DBMA 1st series is always a good place to start. i've seen a DVD with SMAC. i don't think it's really a good DVD for kali basics. maybe basic fighting strategy for stick vs. stick, but not for FMA basics. Francisco

Would the MattTHornton stick fighting DVD be worth purchasing if you already owned the Dog Brothers Series 1 and Ray Floro DVD? Would there be new, valuable info? Would the instruction/style clash?

''Would the MattTHornton stick fighting DVD be worth purchasing if you already owned the Dog Brothers Series 1 and Ray Floro DVD?'' in my opinion, NO. it'd be better just to move to 2nd series of videos/ dvds guro marc has done. Francisco

Look for some PFS tapes that feature the stick.
