Didn't even last a year, though I suppose it was only a matter of time with Shearer waiting in the wings

What say you Mick?

Sacking managers the minute results don't start going well is something I do not agree with. I would have given him the entire season. You can't build something up in a few months. Whats' Sams pay-off btw? also, what was Harry Redknapp sacked by Portsmouth for? I hear he is Miek Ashleys favourite.

I don't see anything anywhere about Redknapp getting sacked Joe Ray, where did you hear that? Supposedly he's taken himself out of the running for the toon job

Oh weel i just heard on radio 1 this morning it being discussed and someone said he is happy presenting MOTD. Never said anything about being happy at Portsmouth. Just figured he was sacked while I wasn't watching.

It was only a matter of time really. I hear that most of the players disliked Sam and his tactics. Fuck it I dunno who will be next. I don't want Redknapp, Jol or Hughes though.

Shearer would be a huge fan favourite as well, but he says he wants to remain as a pundit. Very wise, IMO.

I also heard that Sam got a full on volley of abuse in front of the squad from a player he told was being left out. Come the next day the player is starting. Seems his authority over the squad was low.

Not sure if that bit is true but I heard from several people that the players were unhappy with his defensive tactics. Apparently after giving a team talk one of the senior players said, "Yeah and what about when we have the ball?" Newcastle + Sam was never going to work.

In his pre match interview today, Mark Hughes said he didn't want to talk about Newcastle speculation "today". If he wasn't interested he would have said so. Just didn't want to destabilise his players before the match. IMO

"Oh weel i just heard on radio 1 this morning it being discussed and someone said he is happy presenting MOTD. Never said anything about being happy at Portsmouth." That quote was from Alan Shearer......
