From my understanding you follow the course description of your major from the year you ENTER college. Well after two years of completing 2 semesters of physics & 2 semesters of calc classes that were a course requirement for my major, they've decided to strip those classes away from the curriculum and add about 5 different classes from histology, qualitative chem, statistics, and 2 sems of anatomy. So these students can look forward to at least an extra full year of school. So those physics and calc classes will not be compensated for and on top of that you'll have to take the added classes to get your degree. The greatest screw job I've ever witnessed.

I always thought that you follow the curriculum you had when you enrolled.

Well, thats a problem its a 3+1 program. 3 years at the college and your final year is a clinical internship. You work 40 hrs but you don't get paid. Instead you get 16 credits per 500 hrs you work so the requirements are all screwed up.

What IPU said. You should be grandfathered in on the original course reqs. But, sometimes shit happens, especially if the state or the ASCP mandated a change for certification.

The requirements in one of my majors changed this year, and as others have said, I am only held to the requirements from the year I entered.
