"Offset smokers like the Char-Griller are typically fuel hogs, although they do have a large capacity, they will require more attention to maintain temps" Samiclaus, how would you compare the fuel comsumption of an offset smoker to a weber smokey mountain? I have a crappy bullet type smoker, but want to step up to something decent. Does the Smokey mountain take something like 2 pounds of charcoal compared to an offset requiring 5(10?) pounds of charcoal for the same smoke time?
