They also got Hal Gill from Toronto. With a healthy-hot Fleury, they will be just fine.

Mark 1: you fruit! Gill is a good stabilizing stay at home defenceman that the Canucks sorely need. What, are you a Leafs fan or something?

Hal Gill is a solid defensemen that gives the Pens some much needed help in their PK unit which is one of Gill's specialties and one of the Pens' weakpoints. Jaromir Jagr is quoted saying Hal Gill is the toughest defensemen in the entire league to play against. I thought he was an asset in T.O As for Hossa, can't wait to see him paired up with Sid The Kid.

so you guys like this deal given that Hossa is a free agent in June and with the limited CAP room they might not be able to resign him. They also gave up Armstrong and Christianson?

"Jaromir Jagr is quoted saying Hal Gill is the toughest defensemen in the entire league to play against. " jagr was the only player that the turnstyle known as hal gill did anything of significance against. who knows why, but he played well against jagr at times - but that statement about gill has been totally taken out of context & exaggerated for years. gill is a big body & that is it. any team using him as more than a #5 defenseman is in real need of defensive help. sure he has his uses, but so do all #5s

" True, the price for Hossa was very high but it was a gamble and I can respect their GM for taking a risk like that. If Hossa can play well in the playoffs I think the Pens could seriously challenge for the cup. "gill is a big body & that is it." I guess, but his length and reach give him an advantage over a lot of players because of his size, and he's a decent puck handler and positional player.

"What, are you a Leafs fan or something?" LOL. I can't be a leaves fan, for I am not a homo. Mark
