my gf's family are hunters and my gf just came back from their place last night and brought back some frozen vension shank.  what's a good way to cook them?  i'm thinking braising in red wine and carrots and make a stew.  what's better?

ok, i got more this weekend.   they are getting sick of venison and gave me a bunch..  some grounded vension, a decent sized steak, a chop, and a sausage.   i'm thinking of skillet cooking the steak.   served the sausage with cheese on crackers, make burgers with the grounded meat. and something else (not sure yet) with the chop.
