I've never been a big consumer of supplements. I've been working out fairly religiously since high school, and I think I've only tried creatine once. I've never been against supplements per se, but I've always felt that eating right, exercising right, etc. would get me where I needed to go. Anyways, I've been taking Universal Animal Flex for the past few months. That, in combination with some joint strengthening exercises, has helped my knees and ankles a LOT. Well, my mom brought up a pretty good point the other day, regarding the fact that there didn't seem to be too much regulation regarding supplements. Now, I don't really plan on stopping consumption of Animal Flex unless I find something conclusive about any negative side effects, but I am curious as to whether I can find any information regarding any potential long-term consequences of taking supplements.
