This may be a common question for you people here at the filmaker ground, but I need your help. I recently got a copy of my first MMA fight on DVD from the event cordinator. I am trying to upload this footage to my PC (Vista) so I can edit my fight and post it on Youtube. My editing software(generic stock software that came with PC) has trouble finding the fight. I'm sure there is some sort of black belt formating secret that I am not doing right. Please help. Is it possible to buy a DVD from store and edit it, because that would be a similar scenario. Thanks in advance guys.

download a program that can rip the DVD onto your HD. Mpeg streamclip is great. Easy to use. Open the .vlb file. It should contain the movie. Just set in and out puts and export as .avi or .mov It's a free program to. Very powerful.
