Getting my first detail done since the winter is pretty much passed us. I see a lot of car washes, hand washes, etc that all say they do detailing. But I am not exactly sure what to look for. Can you guys give me some help on what to look for and what to stay away from? Thanks!

Check the phone book for auto detailers in your area. call a few and get a feel for what they suggest/offer. Those who have been around a while probably do good work.

Stay away from anyone who (re) uses cotton towels and/or sponges to wash/dry a vehicle. Also, car washes are not detailers, by and large, and vice versa.
