"I might add that McCain and his wife adopted an orphan from Bangladesh - sure sign of people who hate asians." What does that prove? I've seen people display love for minority children and use racial slurs against adults at other times. Does having a minority friend mean you aren't a racist, or have racist ideas? The point here is the hypocrisy, and the fact that McCain hasn't been called to answer for his racist slur the way Obama has over something he didn't even do.

"It sounded like you were saying it was okay for him to use the word "gook" because he was held and tortured by some Asians." hell no, it was ignorant on his part to think that was OK, it seems that he has learned. He apologized and owned up "I think it's curious that the mainstream media has never mentioned this once, but they're quick to jump all over some shit Obama's pastor said." McCain took a hit for it but I will bet anything this comes up again in the general election. I thinks its fair to bring up again and for McCain to answer it. The think with Obama haters is they will jump on it no doubt. But lets look at all the white people in say Iowa that were buying into his message and put race aside, how are they supposed to feel now when he has been a member of a church where the pastor says not only racist stuff and unamerican stuff but things that have no facts behind him Obama is from a different time than his pastor so I don't believe he thinks the same way but for his daughters to hear that shit bothers me a lot "We all know what Rush, Le Shat and these other people's motivation is for this smear campaign." of course Rush wants to fuck everything up but it bothers me that Obama supporters are not even questioning this a little. You can still support him and vote for him and have this bother you.

"The point here is the hypocrisy, and the fact that McCain hasn't been called to answer for his racist slur the way Obama has over something he didn't even do." not true, when McCain said it he was taken to task on it. What made it go away was that he apologized and said he was wrong. He said he wanted to learn from his mistakes. What else do you want from a man? you are a smart guy Shawn and from all I see a good person but you should call Obama out on this shit and not defend it with someone else mistakes or bad behavior. This is about Obama and his decisions, talk on that

"not true, when McCain said it he was taken to task on it." Where? On the internet? I'm sure the majority of Americans never even heard about this story. "This is about Obama and his decisions, talk on that" What is there to say? Obama made it clear yesterday where he stands. The story needs to go away. Too much has already been made out of it. The people who were going to vote for him can make their minds up about whether he is sincere or not. The Republicans trying to make hay from this need to knock it off.

Le Shat, I'm glad you know his private actions man. Say when did you get a Oscar like copy of split screen video showing Rev Wright saying God Damn America as Obama claps and smiles?

Thats right you didnt. His preacher is wrong, but you have ZERO evidence to support any claim that he feels the same way his former preacher does.

"Where? On the internet? I'm sure the majority of Americans never even heard about this story." it was all over the news when he said it, it is no secret "What is there to say? Obama made it clear yesterday where he stands. The story needs to go away. Too much has already been made out of it." yet you want to make a big deal about McCain and still try and label him a racist? Thats being completely inconsistent "The people who were going to vote for him can make their minds up about whether he is sincere or not." of course, but why doesn't it bother you at all? Would you take your small chidlren to listen to hate filled speeches? "The Republicans trying to make hay from this need to knock it off." but you want it to be done to McCain, WTF???

"it was all over the news when he said it, it is no secret" I never heard about it at the time. I can still only find one article about it on the net (the rest refer back to that article). Put this story on CNN hour after hour, have all the pundits talk it into the ground for a week, force McCain to defend himself and make a speech, and sustain the damage to his campaign. "yet you want to make a big deal about McCain and still try and label him a racist? Thats being completely inconsistent" You really equate a racial slur coming straight out of McCain's mouth to some shit Obama's pastor said? If anything, McCain's comments are on par with Imus's (worse, IMO), while Obama's controversy isn't even in the same ballpark.

He has admitted to hearing controversial, but what does that prove?

I've never been to a church that I haven't heard controversial remarks from. We have NO PROOF that wright has always preached like this for the last 20 years, so quit acting like you do.

If this is going to be a big deal, then I want more evidence supporting the final verdict.

"You really equate a racial slur coming straight out of McCain's mouth to some shit Obama's pastor said?" yes, they are both are bad judgement calls. McCains comments were made out of ignorance not hate for a group of people. If it was for the group he would not have all the those friends from the war that fought with him or an adopted baby that is asian. "If anything, McCain's comments are on par with Imus's (worse, IMO), while Obama's controversy isn't even in the same ballpark." exactly why I feel nothing will change with politics or race. People will defend their side and bash the other. Cut slack to their guy but not the other. Obama needs the white votes to win, he seems to have more than plenty but will lose some because of this but he will lose even more because of the double standard and slack people like you want to give Obama.

"thats coming because of politcal BS, is that what you want?" It's a politcial campaign. The BS is okay for the goose, so it's good for the gander. Spread the BS around equally. "he will lose even more because of the double standard and slack people like you want to give Obama." Okay, you will point the finger at me, but won't call out people like Le Shat who make threads like this. That couldn't be because you support McCain and show up to defend him every time, is it?

"It's a politcial campaign. The BS is okay for the goose, so it's good for the gander. Spread the BS around equally." answer the question, is that what you want? this all OK for you "Okay, you will point the finger at me, but won't call out people like Le Shat who make threads like this." WTF, Ive gone against Le Shat many times with his threads & posts so please stop changing the subject. "That couldn't be because you support McCain and show up to defend him every time, is it?" so all the times that I defend Obama, including with this topic about how he feels himself, means I only show up to defend McCain? But sad thing is you still won't criticize Obama for his membership in this church or his pastors hatred, that's the problem. You can't criticize him and still vote for him but you see too hell bent on never giving an inch and again that's what's wrong with politics and our country

Obama is a grade A moron for attending this church and being so close to such a race baiting pastor. Surely he must have known this would come back and bite him hard? If he thought the Republican party would let him get away with attending such a racially focused church for 20 years he is incredibly naive. All the stuff being peddled by his opponents before, such as the Muslim smears and saying he hates America because he doesn't wear a fucking lapel pin were pathetic attacks and anyone who took them seriously were also pathetic. But this relationship with his church and his pastor is a legitimate basis for attacking him. Now I don't believe Obama is any sort of racist but he is guilty by association with his black nationalist church and his race baiting pastor. Whites created HIV? as someone mentioned earlier that is up there with Jewish banker theories.

Doesn;t matter what you think of Rush, he wasn;t the one that was being hypocritical in the media people.  Obama pulled the first pile of dirt onto his own grave.

Let me get this straight, are Obama's supporters saying that if John Mcain attended a church where the lead pastor for 20 years, who MCain described as his "spiritual Mentor", Who presided over his wedding and his childrens baptisms, and whom he even used a sermon title as the title of a book he wrote turned out to be an unapologetic white supremacist and white sepratist who gave David Duke a lifetime acheivement award they would say "not an issue, Mcain didn't say these things." Uh, O.K.

LOL @ Rush. This is the same douchebag that did a parody on Obama by using the terms "spades and hoes." He's a hypocrite of the highest order.

" stick a fork in barack hussein obama

good riddance racist, hipocrite"

Oh the irony of that statement....

Also, the fear is STRONG on this thread.  It's awesome & desperate at the same time!  Can't wait until Obama smashes McCain at the polls.

"It's sad that a seemingly non-bigoted person such as yourself would let racist comments slide. What if his captors were black? Would it still be acceptable for McCain to use racial slurs?" You are a complete and total idiot.

This race-baiting, along with the sneering repetition of "Barrack Hussein Obama" over and over is an example of why minorities don't vote Republican.
