Does anyone have a good reference for a store/manufacturer/importer of durable, good weight escrima bastons/sticks in North America (or even elsewhere)? Ones that can be swung and hit other bastons, and not break into toothpicks after one good training session?

Thanks.

not the ones i've seen

we used to go to a ratan place in LA and get the shit in 6 foot poles and cut it our self - way cheap

there's a method (i forgot exactly how )

but it has something to do with soaking them overnight in kerosene or something

go to ecrima digest and ask there (joining is free and they send out e-mails with topics) kind of like a forum, but via e-mail

 K.I.L- Kombat Instruments Limited

I used to know a guy that made the most beautiful sticks.   Hard too.  But is sort of retred from it.

I'll contact him and see if he is making sticks.

Spoke to the other guy and he is still not making sticks.   If he starts up again I will let you know.

KIL is probably your best bet.  Their sticks are really nice quality.

I'll order a pair from KIL and see how they work. Thanks again for the reference.
