A local marketing guy sent me the info for this guys show on April 19th at Boutwell. ISCF Banned for life promoter who is also a convicted sex offender. Sounds bad, what do you guys know about Levine?

This guy was trying to get my guys on that card as well. But I heard about all the bounced checks and said no deal! Man, a sex offender just makes it that much worse! I'm also a no- show for this event...

I have a fight scheduled on this show. Didn't know about all the bounced checks. Looks like I'll need to be payed cash up front. LOL But the sex-offender thing doesn't bother me. I mean, I bone 16 year olds all the time!

hey big worm, did you see that the 16 yr old's gender was listed as "unknown"??? and btw, I believe the number of years between the sexual partners plays a role in it being an offense. Since the age of consent is so low in AL, I think there also has to be at least a 4 yr gap between the partners..HIZA??

My 0.02c I have had fighters fight for Jamie in the WEF and I have heard all the stories and everything. My own experience has been as follows. He has always taken care of myself and my fighters. Always paid and the show has great production value and he puts on good cards. Usually matched very well. Actually had a fighter "Cody Senseney" fight for him in Orlando against ATT guy and WEF put Cody in a room and me a seperate room. Paid everyone in cash after the event. Jamie knew I had my wife and my 10year old daughter with me since we were in Orlando. So he paid for two more nights in the hotel and hooked me up with some cheap tickets to Sea World and MGM.

Again he may have screwed others over but my personal experience has been good with the WEF.

TONEAL, who the hell is fighting on this card? All I have heard is bad things and that none of the local camps are fighting for this guy. How have you built a card? Also, did you guys research the past results on shows held in that black hole of a venue? You guys may well have done better at the old Wal Mart in Irondale. I hope it works out for you guys, but that place sucks so bad that the city can't give it away. It's a great building but for some reason nobody likes to go there for events. Birmingham just sucks.

I will say this: the WEF bought _every_ local TV spot on TUF last nite... I watched it in Tuscaloosa, and that's what was up on our cable system. I must have watched six commercials for the upcoming show. I was impressed with that, I have to say. Somebody involved knows what they are doing, and has some money.

I would like to see an "official fight card", though, before I make any plans...

Tom, did you watch the show on Charter Cable? Keep in mind that the greater Bham area only has around 50,000 Charter subscribers. It is a very cheap spot to purchase. I am sure it will help, but according to Charter only around 1500 people even watch Spike during the 2 hour window in which the Ultimate Fighter is aired. And. Birmingham sucks. But my new computer is the bomb dizzle.

according to the HUT ratings from last night from the BHAM-Tuscaloosa market, approx. 897 people tuned in to TUF.

Better off passing out flyers IMO.

And no matter how much money you have, the Boutwell will not fill up. You will get 700-1100 people there and you will lose money.

Hope it is a good show for DJ Watkins's sake.

I tried  to explain to Jamie & Tim that they would lose a lot of money, but they are going ahead with the show. Last week they had very few matches made, and wanted me to help, but I have a show the same day. It appears that most of the fighters will be from other areas.

DJ, you will help for sure in making it a good show. You just need to get paid in advance. I have a feeling that this is going to prove what we have all feared. Birmingham sucks.

When I got the call to be on this show, They already had a full card put together. So they must be doing something right if they didn't have any trouble getting fighters.

DJ, You are one of the few locals fighting, but WEF does a quality event. Good Luck on your bout.

All I keep thinking is how nobody is going to see this event. It sucks that we actually have interest from guys who put on quality shows, but we don't have a fan base that is smart enough to know it. It is like having the Hawaiian Tropic girls at the Quest for a lap dance contest.

Some of the coast guys will also be fighting on the card. I also think Rhomez (Jimmy's Opponent) is also fighting on the card at 170lb. He is going to be a force at that weight.
