My guesses:

Habs v Bruins: Habs in 5. Might be 4 but I think the pump of getting maybe Savard & Bergeron back should be good for one game. Habs have turned into a scary & confident young team and are on fire.

Pens v Sens: Pens in 4. Could be an upset with nobody expecting anything from Ottawa but I think the Pens revenge factor is huge. Too many horses out for Ottawa and maybe they win one on picking up the slack, but I'll go with the Pens who wanted this one badly.

Caps v Flyers: Flyers in 7. I want Wash to win, but for some odd reason expect Philly to win. I think it'll be closer than people think but I'm betting this is an upset.

Devils v Rangers: Rangers in 7. Hate to ever bet against Marty, and it wouldn't shock me if NJ wins, but I dunno about this year. No expectations on the Rangers might mean they do something.

Wings v Preds: Wings in 5. Too many questions in net for both teams but that being a wash Detroit is too talented to lose to a team like Nashville. Tempting possible upset pick but meh i think Detroit takes it handily.

Sharks v Flames: San Jose in 6. Depends what Flames team shows up. With confidence that can definitely hang with San Jose and even win this, but they're way too fragile right now. The upside being that Keenan is a great playoff coach and may be the difference. San Jose may just finally live up to the hype this year.

Wild v Aves: Wild in 7. The Wild wanted this one & suggestions are that they were hoping for this matchup. Aves have talent but the D isn't a playoff D imo. Could be wrong but I think the Aves are too soft.

Ducks v Stars: Ducks in 5. Unless Richards can suddenly carry this team, they're too soft. They lost some of the needed grind they had for some offense that doesn't seem to be paying off.

A possible upset. The wings are beat up. Like 14 guys are out or limping along.

Hrmm rethinking my Aves/Wild pick. The more I think about it the more I think the Aves will win. Plus Shultz is out now for Minny..

Should be a fun year for playoffs though, lots of upsets could happen that wouldn't be too shocking.

Didn't know the Wings were that banged up. I heard about a few but if you of all people Mark call for a possible upset, then it's gotta be very possible.

Calgary could be a dark-horse if they can get some confidence. That team is built for playoff hockey. Lombardi is too skilled for the 3rd line there. They need to bump Conroy down to 3rd line for 5 on 5 (Lombo up to 2) and let Connie play on the PP. If San Jose is gonna lose it'll be 1st round imo, otherwise they go to the finals.

After tonight I really like Calgary's chances. It ain't over yet but that's gotta mess with San Jose's heads.

2-1 yeah. I said all along that they *could* do it, but really didn't expect them to be doing it the way they have. HUGE come from behind win. Thornton is too casual to be a captain, they need a guy like Nolan, unfortunately for them Calgary has him right now.

^ they did have Nolan, the guy who led them to the bigges tupset ever when they took out the Blues in 2000.

Again, sharks lacking the toughness, and can't help but screen their own goalie. I'm not saying they lost this series by any means, but the last couple of years these late come from behind wins have killed them in the end.

2006 - Up 2-1 against Edmonton wiht like 5 mintues to go and about to go up 3-0 in the series, Torres ties it and they lose in triple OT and lose the next 3 games and what could've been an easy Cup berth

2007- Up by one goal against the wings and about go up 3-1 in the series....Robert Lang I believe scores with like less than a minute to go, Sharks lose in OT. Lose the remaining games.

This time they gotta bounce back after blowing a lead like they did against Calgary. They lose this series and they'll probably be known as the chokers out west and you can say bye to Ron Wilson.

That's what I'm getting at. He *was* their captain, now they miss him and Calgary is beating them with him.

Good call by Spankenstyne calling Pens in 4. I think it will happen.

And, I like Anaheim and the team they have but I'm seriously hoping Dallas finishes them in the first round.

The sooner the Ducks lose the sooner Toronto can hire Burke as GM - or at least try to.

looks like Sharks are finally showing something they haven't in a while...character, Cheechoo and Thornton step up in the final 5 minutes and Calgary blows their chance to go up 3-1 in the series.

Yeah surprised to see that one go in with like 9 seconds left. I thought the Flames had them. This just became a series now. Fun to watch when I have no vested interest in cheering for either team. Living in Calgary I wouldn't mind seeing them win, but at the same time wouldn't mind seeing them lose lol.. Either I'm happy for some friends or get to razz them out, either is fine :)

I was a lousy 6 for 8 in predictions....well mostly I'm pissed at NJ.

Calgary impressed me, but yet another failed year in the playoffs
