I was wondering if it is a difficult process to transfer from one department to another from one state to another? We are considering a move sometime in the future but we are unsure because I'm not sure how easy it is to transfer between LE departments. Anyone with any opinions, or experience with this situation or whatever let me know.

A ton of depts are taking people from other places. I think it depends on where you live but here in Omaha, NE they take people from all over. They just go through backgrounds and 8 weeks (I think) of training. Take a look on where you want to go and ask. They love to save money by getting someone that knows what they are doing with out all the training.
