Anyone have any experience with Walther pistols? I have few options but this is one of them. It'll be for home defense and sometimes conceal carry. Thanks.

I've shot a walther PPK/s and PPK and both were good guns. although a little heavy for the size compared to the polymer guns made by Kahr, Glock, etc. My best friend carries a P99 in 9mm. Very good gun, accurate, reliable. The interchangeable backstraps on the P99 make it pretty user friendly as far as getting the grip you like best. His only beef was that magazines for them are pretty pricey compared to say a glock. (I think he said he paid close to $60 for 15 round mags).

The new PPS looks pretty hype. It's their answer to the Keltec PF-9. It's less than an inch wide at its widest point, so it should be great for carrying. At $600, it's twice the price of the Keltec, though.

This is with the 6+1 magazine. They also have larger mags with grip extenders.

Look at the P-99, also Bond upgraded from the PPK to the P99, so you have the cool factor of both guns.

As much of a 007 nerd I am, I do not like the ergonomics or trigger on this pistol.

:-(

I like the magazine release. You can drop it without changing your grip since it is located in the trigger guard.

The advantage is if you have a round in the chamber, you can stay on target while reloading. if you have to fire that round, you are on it.
