Wow.  The Mother of All Future Copouts.

Basically boils down to "The NWO will install a dictator/control the world/cull the population. . .unless they don't."  LOL @ the unequivocable idoicy of that stupid fucking religion.

"The NRA is all over this, btw. UnAmerican people are not NRA members. "

The NRA is actually a gun control organisation, a front for the NWO, dont be fooled by their hype. You need to get Gun Owner's of America all over this.

"Redneck, yes of course they can - but the intent is to create a document with a single meaning."

Why do you hate America? IT's clear what OBH plans to do with the US if he takes power. Stop defending him.

Give this link to all of the gun owners you know that still support the NRA - they are unwittingly supporting a gun control group.

The NRA is actively supporting gun control via HR 2640. Get the word out about this so the bill can be stopped. It passed the house and then the senate with an unrecorded vote so you cant see who is actively destroying the 2nd amendment. Bush WILL sign this. Bush has doubled the size of the BATF and tripled its funding and supported the assault weapons ban as well. The NRA does not speak for gun owners - let your politicians know that. They are now supporting the anti gunners. Gun Owners of America and its supporters took a knife in the back as Senator Chuck Schumer out-smarted his congressional opposition into agreeing on a so-called "compromise" on HR 2640 -- a bill which now goes to the President's desk.

The bill -- known as the Veterans Disarmament Act to its opponents -- is being praised by the National Rifle Association and the Brady Campaign. The Brady Bunch crowed "Victory! U.S. Congress Strengthens Brady Background Check System." The NRA stated that last minute changes to the McCarthy bill made a "good bill even better [and that] the end product is a win for American gun owners." But Gun Owners of America has issued public statements decrying this legislation. The core of the bill's problems is section 101(c)(1)(C), which makes you a "prohibited person" on the basis of a "medical finding of disability," so long as a veteran had an "opportunity" for some sort of "hearing" before some "lawful authority" (other than a court). Presumably, this "lawful authority" could even be the psychiatrist himself. Note that unlike with an accused murderer, the hearing doesn't have to occur. The "lawful authority" doesn't have to be unbiased. The veteran is not necessarily entitled to an attorney -- much less an attorney financed by the government

"Incorrect yet again, I merely posted an article for discussion and Steve72 was kind enough to give his interpretation of it."

Redneck, Steve72 didn't give you an opinion. If you read the bill, instead of relying on the article, you'd see that we are already on board with the Millenium Development Goal  & have been for 8 years now. Steve72 posted a fact: "It directsthe President to make a plan to achieve goals that the U.S has already agreed to.  It does not give any authority to the U.N."

When you say that is an opinion it just shows how ignorant you are and how you are anmated by conspiracy over acutal facts.

Redneck, the bill supports gun control against criminals and the mentally unfit by creating incentives for states to enforce current laws.

It also eliminates prohibitions for many who cannot get licensed & finally gives citizens a way to contest charges that puts them on a permanent ban list

This bill is obviously about responsible gun distribution.

criminals will always find a way to get guns, increasing gun control on many levels will eventually take away the right to bear arms by the law obiding citizens

"criminals will always find a way to get guns"

Yes, and the easiest way is for them to go through a lax system, so what is your point?

"increasing gun control on many levels will eventually take away the right to bear arms by the law obiding citizens "

This bill does the exact opposite of the misinformation you're attempting to peddle. It actually helps to ensure that law-abiding citizens aren't wrongfully denied their right to bear arms.

Luke Beston-Gracie has brought a sense of reality and great truth to this thread.

I can only do my best to warn the people, if they choose to believe the shills and collaborators there is not much I can do about it.

OK, Redneck is not interested in anything but stroking himself and Luke.

These things come before debate and facts.

I can't believe anyone who isn't anti-gun would support gun control. 'Responsible gun distribution" = gun control.

The founding fathers would turn in their grave if they could see what is being done to their once great country.

Where would you be today if there had been "responsible gun distribution" in the 1770's?

I'm all for guns, but I am in favor of using an updated database to keep the guns of of the hands of those deemed unfit to carry. For instance those who have committed gun crimes or who are mentally unfit.

'Responsible gun distribution" = gun control."

Correct. Not everybody should be owning guns & the idea that we should just hand criminals guns when they want then just because some might be able to get them illegally is ridiculous.

The founding fathers would turn in their grave if they could see what is being done to their once great country.

The founding fathers authored the 2nd amendment which never intended to grant individuals the right to bear arms outside of well regulated state militia. If anything, "gun control" is directly indicated in the second amendment: "well-regulated".

What you're in favor of is anarchy or a state always on the verge of anarchy, because it ensures the government never takes absolute control. While this is valid, you take it way overboard with severe paranoia. The bill in question regulates the militia as dictated by the founding fathers.

"Where would you be today if there had been "responsible gun distribution" in the 1770's?"

The exact same place considering "responsible gun distribution" would have still allowed guns to reach the hands of virtually all in the militia used to fight the war.

You said, "The NWO is a fickle bunch".  The obvious meaning is that if things don't go the way you predicted, it's because the NWO changed their collective mind.  Awfully convienient little out for you, isn't it?  Any denial of the implied meaning of your statement is an outright lie.  But you're no stranger to lying, are you, Darren?

Thirdleg is correct. The founding fathers also knew that arms were necessary in case of a slave revolt.

If they speak with final authority on a subject, they are inherently correct w/r/t that subject.
