I'm in a wierd situation. Well kinda.

My best buddies MOM, has had this wierd "obsession" with making me and my famiy homemade soup since I fell ill.

She enjoys doing it and we love recieving them.

So far, she's made us chicken/rice, turkey/rice, Itallion Weddind soup, Hearty Beef Barly, and the latest has been a turky meatball soup.

So, Now, she's asking me what kinds of soup I would like. I DUNNO, I'm pretty plain.

SO I ASK YOU.............

What are some different soups that are simple to make and are generally very tasty.

Just looking for idea's....for her

Thanks

Leek and potato. Nothing sums up easy to make and 'fall on your knees' tasty more - if done well.

The newest one recieved this week was a White Bean and Ham soup. Not Bad.

Next, I believe is gonna be a Potatoe and Leek soup. So I hope you are correct in it being delicious. I've never had Leek before.

As for Chowder, I got that mastered with my "Super chunky potato, Garlic and Bacon, Corn Chowder". A Family recipe that has been modified over the years.

I hope the leek and potato goes well. It's a great winter warmer. If served cold it's called Vichysoisse. I think it's the first Batman film where Alfred gives Bruce Wayne the soup and he tastes it, spits it out and says "it's cold!" Alfred replies: "It's Vichysoisse, sir; it's supposed to be cold." On second thoughts it might be Batman Returns. Bottom line: the soup is great - if done well.
