I played nine holes the other day. It was the third time I've ever played. The other two times were about twelve years ago.

I was playing with my cousin and some old guy we got grouped with. My cousin has played about once a week for a year or so and the old guy said he's been playing for 4 years. They both had their own gear and I of course had rental clubs.

I think par for the nine holes was 36 and I shot a 65.

I'd assume that sucks really bad, but they didn't do much better than me.

So is that a normal score for a beginner and even some people that have played a couple years?

Or do they suck really bad?

Or did I do pretty good?

Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Played a par 3 today with my cousin.

He shot a 47 and I shot a 45...???

I really suck at putting. I probably averaged more than 4 strokes per green.

you can practice putting in your living room.  just practice making a good stroke.  straight back, straight through, all shoulders, no wrists.
