Over about the past month, I've developed a nasty slice. Can't figure out where it's coming from. Alot of instructors are charging 80-100 bucks a lesson. I think that's insane. I've found a couple places for around 50-60 bucks. What are you guys paying per lesson? How long is a lesson?

I wouldn't a professional in any field who didn't think her/his time was worth $100 an hour.

How about a Dog trainer or a professional Fish Tank cleaner?

I pay my dog handler $115 per show and it takes her 15/20 minutes tops. I would expect to pay more than $100 for an hour of 1 on 1 training.

I pay $100 an hour for a private BJJ lesson and I always tip.

I don't think of a fish tank cleaner in quite the same light as a real trained professional, that seems more like semi-skilled labor to me, I certainly don't think of it as a career. That said if someone quited me $100 to clean a fish tank and it took 45 minutes I wouldn't complain or think that was unreasonable.
