I'm thinking this is a chick book so maybe I won't get a lot of responses.

Anybody into it?

My daughter is CRAZED about them. When she talks about Edward, she gets all flustered.
She is 100% Team Edward.

I bought her the new book the day it came out, along with the special Godiva Twilight chocolate bar.
I am 100% awesome step-dad.

I'm just happy to have her reading something that isn't "Gossip Girl" or some other vacuous shit.

I read it yesterday at the suggestion of my girlfriend.

She doesn't usually read a great deal outside of school (she's in theatre, so she's usually reading an endless parade of obscure plays), but she's been devouring these.

I enjoyed it, too.

It's a phenomenon and I've been swept up in it. It's a nice break from MMA writing.

Finished New Moon a couple nights ago, and about 1/4 into Eclipse. Goddamn this is addictive.

And damn... I can now see why some people are on Team Jacob

I read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn in a few days. I really enjoyed it all and the books hd a great effect on me and how I look at what I have to enjoy around me.

I also read "Midnight Sun," which is the unfinished manuscript that Meyer started telling Edward's perspective of "Twilight." It's only about a 1/3 finished, but it's excellent and posted at stepheniemeyer.com

The movie is coming out soon.

What age would you recommend a girl be before getting into these? I have a stepdaughter turning 11 and would like to see her reading more. She enjoys paranormal stuff, as I do, and I've bought her the Jennifer Scales series for Xmas, but would consider these as well if they're age-appropriate...

I would think she could read them at age 11. The fourth book hits some adult themes, but you'll be prepared for them by the time she gets to it.

'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke won't do sequel

Dec 7, 2008, 08:14 PM | by Nicole Sperling

Twilight_hardwicke_l Twilight fans, start your protest campaign now. Summit Entertainment has announced that it will not move forward with director Catherine Hardwicke for the Twilight sequel New Moon. According to Summit's press release, the studio and Hardwicke could not come to terms on a schedule; Summit's plan to release the film at the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010 did not work with the amount of prep time Hardwicke wanted to dedicate to New Moon. Similar to the Harry Potter franchise before it, Summit will now look to hire a new director to helm New Moon. According to a statement released by Hardwicke, "I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct New Moon. Directing Twilight has been one the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel—it is a great story."

My fiance and all of her friends read them. They said it was kind of like Sex and the City, in that you know they're lame, but they draw you in.

Is it just me, or are these Vampire meets normal girl books just a suppressed domestic abuse fantasy?

Yes I know he's a murderer, but our love will keep him pure!!!
