I'm assuming you want drug/favela movies judging by the three you mention? If you want to see other kinds of "Movies from Brazil" see: Central Station, Behind the Sun, Lower City, Bus 174, Carandiru, Pixote, Favela Rising...

Fernando Meirelles, the director of City of God and City of Men recently did an English speaking movie called Blindness too. Wasn't really that bad, although doesn't involve Brazil, Drug trade, or the Portuguese language.

If you aren't opposed to Latin American films as well, try Motorcycle Diaries and Son Nombre. Those were pretty f'n good.

Its from a book written in Portuguese by recently deceased Jose Saramango.
