My wife and I went out for our 3rd anniversary to THE NORTH resteraunt again and had the BEST diner EVER!!

Pictures of these will come shortly.


Appatizer:

Duck, Carrot, Cucumber and Green Onion Wrapped in Rice Paper, Blond Frisee and Stilton Cheese 11
Peach and Pine nuts, Passion Fruit Dressing

My Wifes Main:

Beef Tenderloin, Mushroom caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola Cake, Grilled Portobello
Roasted Vegetables, Tomato Jalapeno Relish, Truffle Jus


My Main:(not on internet menu, not cut and pasted.)

Bacon Wrapped Ostrich Tenderloins, Herb and Corn Spetzle, Grilled Veg, Fennel and Frisee Salad, Balsamic Jus.

Desserts:

Ginger Crème Brulee with Fresh Berries and Biscuit

Warm Chocolate Cake with Lychee Ice Cream, Raspberry Coulis, Brand snap Disk

I was afraid at first when I saw the ostrich was a little pink in the middle, but then I remembered an episode of Iron Chef America that had Ostrich as the secret ingredient and recalled they said it was like beef and can be cooked as such, not like poultry.

It was/is very tender, almost silky like texture. One of the best meats I've ever had.

I also agree that anything wrapped in bacon is delish!!!!
