I found a really cheap Suzuki SV650 with 20,000 miles on it. Looks clean, havent ridden it yet. Dealer owned.

How many is too many miles on a Japanese bike?

If it been maintained it'll be fine. There is a guy on svrider who has over 100k. People freak out when a bike has over 10k. Its only because most people wreck sportbikes before they pile on the miles. There was a guy at my old employer who had 16k in a year on his SV, I did 10k in a year on mine My current bike is at 16k, still runs without a hitch and I'm not gentle.

If the $$ is right, I'd say 20k is nothing to worry about. I'd be more worried about how it was stored (outside or in) and maintenance.

My blade has over 50k on it, fresh as a daisy. As long as they're looked after, jap bikes will go and go and go..
