Now I know Ive posted some things that people dont agree with and maybe Ive posted some things that have offended certain people. For this I say Im sorry and forgive me, Im a fallen human.

Now that Ive got that out of the way Ive been studying 2nd thessalonians..but not in the standard sense...I ask you guys to open your minds and take a look at this from outside the box. If you dont believe in this explaination then perhaps allow it to be entertainment...I was entertained by it...not sure if I believe in it but it certainly is a cool point of view for the endtimes

Now I want to say that all that matters is Jesus because in the end he will be revealed and his government will reign forever...

so here is the scripture

2nd Thessalonians 2:7-12

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness

ok that is the scripture that will be discussed in the following links...again this is just a cool interpretation of this scripture given by LA Marzulli on the Coast to Coast AM show...it was really fascinating and made me think about the whole endtime thing in a different light

here is the show entitled prophecy and the coming deception...its 12 parts...and pretty entertaining

here is a cool quote....

"Satan and his angels rule the world untill the second coming of Christ, at which point they will rally the world against Him, painting Him as an invading alien. This is the final lie"....unknown

jeremiah 10:2 Thus said the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

2nd Thessalonians, this comes from a letter that Paul wrote to the church, intending to uplift and praise them for their growing faith,at the beginning of the letter,Paul praises first God our Father and then the Lord, from here a person should recognize that Father matters, and all praise is to Father, the Lord himself backs this up several times throughout the new testament, the ultimate goal for all religous people would be to eventually meet the Almighty, our Heavenly Father.

But the Father did suffer the passion through the medium of flesh my friend. God experienced His creation through and in Christ.

Yep...this is what the word tells us.

how do you justify this belief, when Jesus said, I am the vine and My Father is the caretaker....or his claim that His Father gave those souls to him?

or  John chapter 17.

i have never understood this and still wait for anyone to give a reasonable explanation of this.

God Bless...r.w.

There are no reasonable explanations.  God the Father talks to himself.

While modalism can be extremely alluring and intellectually more comfortable in some ways, Ive always seen far, far too many examples of scripture that to me are nothing short of the DEATH of any biblical basis for the belief.

Robert: how do you justify this belief, when Jesus said, I am the vine and My Father is the caretaker....or his claim that His Father gave those souls to him?

me: sigh...you had to pull me in. I've addressed this many times. The easy answer is found in 1Tim 3:16. So let me ask you, how is Jesus both God and man?

Jesus Christ is unique. He is God manifest in the flesh. He is God veiled in flesh. He is Immanual, God with us.

He is truly God and Truly Man. As God, He walked on water, calmed His creation, forgave sins, multiplied the loaves and fish, healed the leper, rose from the dead, etc.

As*man* HE was born, grew tired, hungry, prayed to keep His flesh in submission to His Spirit, and died.

So when reading about the Jesus whether in type in the OT or in the NT you have to determine if the bible is revealing the divine aspect of Christ or His humanity or the unique blend in what Jesus is prophesied to do or in what he actually says or does.

That's why in Isaiah 9:6 it can call the coming messiah BOTH SON AND FATHER. That's why the OT says He is both the Root of Jesse and the Branch of David. That is why HE is called both the lamb and the Lion. Each reveal some aspect of Jesus as God, man or as the unique incarnation.

So when Jesus said that Robert, He was clearly speaking from His humanity, He was speaking as man.

shall I continue :- )

Ridgeback -  There are no reasonable explanations.  God the Father talks to himself.

me: When Jesus is praying, He is subordinating His human nature. The bible states that Jesus praying is not God talking to Himelf per se but a function of Him being uniquey God and man.

r 5:7 Who IN THE DAYS OF HIS FLESH, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears...

The bible declares in the book of Psalms that ALL FLESH MUST COME BEFORE GOD. Whether that comes voluntarily by the righteous or at the great white throne, all flesh will subordiate to God. Jesus who was truly man fufilled that scripture:

Psa 65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall ALL FLESH come.

Jesus was "flesh" and as a function of bing "flesh" He prayed to Him who "hears prayer" The flesh prayed to the Spirit.

Now, I did find this cute website:

http://www.tomhayes.org/StudiesHtml/TheGodOfTheBible/THE%20GOD%20WHO%20TALKS%20TO%20HIMSELF.htm

"Are you one of those individuals who finds yourself muttering things to yourself from time to time? Although "Private Speech," or the act of talking to oneself, has often been linked to inattentiveness and other developmental instabilities, psychologists now tell us that "Private Speech" is not an abnormality. In fact, many believe that "Private Speech" enables children to better control their behavior and master new skills.

Did you know that God talks to Himself? That's right! According to the Bible, the great *TRIUNE BEING* has conversations with Himself! The God of heaven and earth is a God of "Private Speech," and, it's not an abnormality in His personality. God the Father talks to God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Son talks to God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. And, God the Holy Spirit talks to God the Father and God the Son.

ME: LOL!

me: while I see that the belief in the trinity is nothing shot of the DEATH of biblical monotheism.

my belief in God in Christ, reconciling the world (not a part of God, or God Jr, but Y-h in the flesh) allows me to properly see Jesus Christ for who He is and what He did and therefore properly worship and glorify Him.

We are complete in HIM, not them. I don't need 3, I need ONE because in the One I have the Father, Son, Spirit and every other role, function, authority, nature, revelation, progression, reveleation and manifestation of the Godhead. It's all in Christ.

I have Him as my brother in the flesh, and my Father according to the Spirit.

All the justification in the world won't make it fit Rooster.  But I have seen you hammer scriptures into odd shapes for too long to believe you will ever be convinced otherwise.  The Arians who argued that Jesus was not divine make far more sense than a modalist who claims he is both divine and human (one ecumenical council accepted) but that his two natures hold conversations with each other (denying the next ecumenical council).  But that's okay.  I guess since many of us are both fathers and sons and brothers it is just the same as us talking to ourselves when no one is looking.
