What do you guys think of the proposed 700 billion bail-out?

I think that it's the height of irony that a republican president wants to have such a severe form of government intervention involving the fabled "free market" system. The bail-out is clearly the most obvious form of corporate welfare ever.

Why not give that 700 billion to everyday Americans instead of bloated corporations? Why not enable people to pay off their personal debts sooner? Or, why not take that 700 billion and start nationalized healthcare? Catastrophic illness is one of the worst causes of personal bankruptcy.

When all is said and done, I think Bush is only trying to help his rich buddies. Why else would you reward big business for being such a colossal failure?

no problem with it, especially if they rightfully give the CEO's their multimillion dollar parachutes.
