My brown belt, Eliseo (Seo) Perales, competed in the US Open and took first place in his division. Seo finished all his matches by submission. Seo was promoted to brown belt back in March after taking third place in the World Championship as a purple belt. As a new brown belt, Seo has really represented well.

Thank you Michael and teammates! I wish I could have gone for the Open Weight Class gold too, but I strained my bad knee in the finals when I had to use a triangle.

My gameplan and technique that Michael has worked on with me showed it's strength this weekend. I would use his systems and if I ever lost posistional control I just came back to what Michael and Jason have taught me over the years and regain control.

I will be posting the matches on youtube again and will put the url on here asap. Thank you again to Michael for accepting me as your student years ago, and to Jason who's been there for me on and off the mats. I'm proud to have represented Jen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as I did!!!

I finally got to a computer with a dvd and then downloaded a video converter but I didn't get to split the vids. I might as well just post them up as one big vid. I'll get on it asap. Sorry for lagging.

That was funny when you ended up on top of the half guard, but out of bounds, and when you had to restart in the middle, the opponent tried to start with the underhook and shin in your hip. It's good that the ref didn't let him get away with that. :)
