Although they may not be "guitar gods" who are some of your favorite "singer/songwriter" types in the vein of maybe a Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, or Gordon Lightfoot. One of mine as of late is Kentuckian Chris Knight.



Anyone else dig this? Two of my other favorites by him are "Down the River" and "William".

Leonard Cohen.

Elliott Smith.

i don't know if he's similar but he's a singer songwriter.

will oldham aka palace/palace brothers/palace music/palace songs/bonnie "prince" billy

I'm going to add Daniel Lanois, who I saw at Massey Hall on Friday night. By far one of the best story tellers I have ever seen on stage.

Who knew, he had a little Neil Young in him as well. Definately some Crazy Horse-esque jams.
