Anyone familiar with their method?
I picked up a used copy of their book awhile ago but just haven't had the opportunity to read it yet. They seem pretty popular among the pet and dog show crowd, just wondering which method(s) they subscribe to; purely positive, compulsion, or a combination of both?
Watched a youtube clip of a standard poodle that had been sent to the monks for in-house training. I saw a fancy dog show choke collar on the dog's neck, but no lead corrections being use that I can recall. Just nagging verbal corrections on a dog with questionable obedience.
Not one to judge, I'd say it was mainly handler error. Even so it would be interesting to hear more about their training methods and philosophy.
