No doubt there are some flaws in the videos that continue to annoy me(not really the aim of this thread, so whatever! lol), but the idea here is to illustrate the fact that compulsion, by its very nature, does not need to be overly harsh or cruel, especially with problem dogs.

Instead the dog is relieved of stress( for the most part) stemming from uncertainty(ie: instincts vs socialization vs training) by being held accountable for its behavior(usually for the first time in the dog's life) via direction/discipline of handler authority. Meaning, up to that point the lack of obedience and socialization put the dog at odds with its instincts(ie: sharpness towards strangers) and the owners expectations(ie: 'pet' that tolerates/loves everyone and is 'naturally' obedient), and all the prong and effective leadership do is instill behavioral boundries the dog must obey...ie: come when called, aggression towards people outside the family will not be tolerated.
