Long story short, I need a new shotgun.  My previous shotgun, used for small game hunting and trap shooting, was a 20 guage.  I plan on doing the same thing with the new shotgun.

Which is more popular 20 guage or 12?  Which does the collective group recommend, 20 or 12?

TIA

The 20 ga can do just about anything a 12ga can do-with a little less power. The 12 ga has a better variety of ammo and it is slightly cheaper- sometimesIf the 12 ga is too light a gun it will kill your shoulder if you shoot a few boxes.I own one of each

Get a 12 gauge. It's easier to find ammunition.

12 Gauge. It will throw a wider pattern. If you want a really tight pattern I suggest getting a Pattern Master choke.

I think it's Sagea that makes a 20ga ak47 my bro has one, and I would rather shoot that than my $1200 semi 12ga, ant there only $300 to $400. they also make a 4.10 ak to.
