... Falls

Looking for BJJ schools near Cedar Falls, IA.

I accidentally hit the "Enter" key while typing in the title of the post.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

Jason, I know there was a BJJ school at Cedar Valley Pro Fitness. It was run by a Purple Belt under Jeff Curran, but I think Greg moved to Chicago. I don't know if they still do classes at the old gym.
Someone should be able to come on here and comment about whether they still get together up there or not.

Greg is still around. Our gym is now called "United Sport and Athlete." You can call the front desk at 319-234-1935 and they may or may not be able to answer your questions. I'd suggest posting questions here where a few of us occasionally lurk or just popping in for a visit.

Classes are:
beginner BJJ - 6pm, Monday and Wednesday
advance BJJ - 7pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
open mat - 9am, Saturday

Good to know that Greg is still around. That is one sick bastard in Jits and it helps to have him still here in Iowa. We don't want Illinois getting our best kept Jiu Jitsu secrets.

It was actually a very tough decsion as I was set to be a marketing manager at Curran's gym and teach some classes, but the bottom line decsion came down to that my wife and I decided that I could only be a max of 3 hours away of Ron Ellsworth at all times so that kind of shut the whole move down.

Not to mention, you can't shoot fully automatic weapons at will if you live in Illinois!

That is not true, I am sure that there are plenty of civilians that shoot fully automatic wepons in South Chicago.

Yea, but had you moved there, it's a safe assumption that when the zombie appocalypse finally happens, you won't have the safe haven you have here. Even in south Chicago....

I am willing to bet that there are zombies in South Chicago and they have either already been killed or joined the vice lords just for self preservation.
