...for someone who can't get into USC.

I was looking into certificate programs in accounting. I have a sociology degree(yeah yeah).

But recently I've been thinking, why not just go for the masters? Suppose I don't end up taking the CPA exam, then I would only be left with an accounting certificate on my resume. I'd think that a masters would look a LOT better.

Only problem is it's hard to find schools that will take me. I have a low GPA(a 3.0), none of my professors would write me a letter of rec, and I would also have to invest some time to study for the GMAT. So my aim is to find private schools since they tend to be more flexible/less picky with their admissions requirements. Basically, they just want your money.

So far I've only found one school with an accounting masters program that will take me. the school is Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Is anyone familiar with Golden Gate University's masters in accountancy program?

They offer an intensive 1 year accelerated MAcc program.

Their admissions requirements are very low, the catch is that the program is very expensive.
