he should have left the snow clearing to his wife.

Joe Sakic will miss at least three months because, apparently, of careless use of a snowblower.
The Colorado Avalanche captain underwent surgery Tuesday night after he suffered three broken fingers and tendon damage to one finger because of a snowblower accident at his home. Sakic already was on the shelf as he recovered from a herniated disc, but that was probably going to keep him out only for another six weeks.
Avalanche spokesperson Jean Martineau denied a rumour that Sakic had to have fingers re-attached.
“No, that did not happen, and it’s why we were as upfront as quickly as possible,” Martineau told Sun Media on Wednesday afternoon. “It is expected he will make a full recovery and be back in about three months. It was just a freaky accident.
“Joe is a 39-year-old adult who made a mistake, and he is quite upset with himself.”
Sakic has played in 15 games this season and has recorded two goals and 10 assists. All told, he has had his fill of doctors, as he also had to have emergency dental work done during an earlier trip.
Martineau said Sakic will address the media about his finger injuries after the club returns from a four-game trip that ends Dec. 21 in Florida.

With all the money he has to think he still does his own driveway is a shock to me. He has kids, let them do it.
