Haa! bet that got your attention. I've done a high roasted bacon stuffed chicken before(several slices of bacon slipped under the skin of the chicken, roasted at 450), I'm thinking of trying the same in my smoker. I know I wont get the crispy skin, but expect I should get the smoky bacon flavour suffused into the chicken.

Thoughts?

I imagine the smokey smoke flavor will overpower any smokey bacon flavor

Yeah it sounds like the perfect thing for a regular oven but would be redundant in a smoker.

Unless your bacon is just cured and unsmoked, then maybe it wouldn't be double dipping on the smoke flavor.  And it would smoke the bacon which you could pull away and fry seperately as chicken-flavored bacon.

Do this now!
